i had to create a lot of trees recently…
like this one for liga 01 munich:

my tasks were:

- creating the animated tree
- a bit of character modelling
- a bit of texturing on props

half a year ago i worked with the posthouse “infected” on this spot for skoda. the original language version is german.

- creating the animatic (preproduction clip) defining and animating all the cameras and shots.
- creating the trees with animated leafs
- lighting the scenes
- technical stuff, scene setup
- shading and rendering
- supervision

with liga01 i worked on this two clips for the commerzbank.

my main tasks were modelling and rigging the umbrella, creating and animating the trees, building the ice particle nodes for the leaf movement, some mudbox, some technical things and a bit of shading/rendering.

optix sent me to dubai for a month. i was setting up a working environment for 3d artists and made some visual effects for mesmer tea. also comes with the next reel.

the wachowski brothers are shooting their new film "ninja assassin" in berlin and the babelsberg studios. i went to work with pixomondo in babelsberg on some very bloody effects for the movie. our office was right between the different sets and it was not unusual to meet dozens of bleeding ninjas with throwing stars sticking in their back and a cup of coffee in their hand. unfortunately we were not allowed to take photos.

since february i worked with optix on several differnt projects. among other things i did a lot of fluid simulations for osram.
i will put it in the next reel.

Working with Virtual Republic in Duesseldorf for Henkel "3 Wetter Taft"

from october to the end of january i am working for pixomondo in ludwigsburg (where the heck is ludwigsburg?) pixomondo is doing the visual effects on "the red baron" for niama film. it is about  the 1st world war pilot legend manfred von richthofen. i joined the animation crew to work on the airbattles. it is a great team with very talented people from all over the world. we have finalized quite a few shots and i they look great! watch out for the movie when it comes to the cinema!

after almost a year i am back in germany. I joined yassemin and ulli to share an office in düsseldorf flingern.

Started a new job at the FTI in Fremantle, Western Australia. I will join CADSA (Center for Advanced Digital Screen Animation) to lecture the animation students in 3d production and support their projects.
